Funding and Leadership Dynamics of Hamas

Iran funds Hamas directly, providing billions of dollars over the years which were intended to benefit Palestinians but are being used by the leadership for personal luxury instead. The political leadership of Hamas resides outside of Gaza, specifically in Doha, Qatar. Despite the misuse of funds, Iran continues to provide financial support to Hamas as it aligns with Iran's expectations for the organization.
