NOTE

Learning a Language with Grammar Books (A Polyglot's Perspective)

Learning a language with grammar books can be beneficial as it allows you to understand how different languages solve the same problem. By exploring grammar books, you can learn about the different ways languages express certain ideas or concepts. For example, different languages have different ways of expressing something that could have happened but didn't. Additionally, grammar books can help you recognize grammatical structures and forms without requiring you to memorize them extensively. Instead of trying to learn all the grammatical forms of a language, it is more effective to familiarize yourself with their existence and then start reading books. Through reading, you can develop a sense of when and how to use certain grammatical structures. While consciously noticing grammar in books can be helpful, it is not always necessary as continuous exposure to the language will naturally train your intuition for what sounds right or wrong.
