Tissue engineering has advanced to a stage where IPSC MSCs engineered for osteoarthritis can be combined and embedded into a scaffold using a 3D bioprinter to regrow new cartilage. This intersects gene therapy and cell therapy and holds promise for regrowing various organs. Trials with similar technology for cartilage regrowth in humans have already been conducted, and further trials are planned by the regenemesis community.
