The Future of Batteries
Batteries are the most exciting part of a gadget to make repairable. Gluing batteries into devices is like having welded tires on a car. It's insane to throw away devices with glued-in batteries. We shouldn't want everything to have batteries that wear out after three years. Moving away from glued-in integrated batteries is necessary. Thinking of batteries as consumables is a useful way to talk about technology. Making long-lasting gadgets is better than making them last for a short time.
