OpenAI should change the name to ClosedAI and never do open source
AGI could be achieved with a neural network as we understand them today. The current architecture of stacking more transformer layers may not be the correct decision. OpenAI should not open source the code for GPT-4, but instead sell it to business back-end applications and generate hype for funding. Others might eventually do it, but OpenAI should not be the first. Open sourcing powerful technologies without understanding and control is a catastrophe. It is not the right approach for building difficult-to-control systems. Open source can result in powerful technologies being unleashed without proper testing and assessment.
