Rewilding is about restoring an environment to some previous point in time and history, but we shouldn't be tied to trying to recreate extinct ecosystems just for the sake of it./nUnderstanding what used to be in an area or habitat before humans had a major impact can help in restoring a habitat./nConservation generally takes a more pragmatic approach./nThe goal is to make places wilder and have more nature than what we have in the moment, whether they are already wild or urban areas.
