NOTE

The unpredictability of market pivots and inflation

The market's reliance on the Fed to fix everything may not hold true in the future due to inflation concerns. In the past, the Fed's intervention provided liquidity and opportunities for traders, but in recent times, inflation has complicated the situation. During the COVID pandemic, companies panicked and sold, only for the Fed to flood the market with liquidity and ruin the party. However, this won't be the case going forward. The Phillips curve, once used to explain inflation, is no longer applicable as evidenced by the period from 2009 to 2021 when the Fed had to abandon its strategies due to high inflation.
