Cognitive sovereignty is more importance than imitation which is suicide

Ralph aldow emerson wrote an essay called "The Power of Reliance" In it, he asks how often do people come up with good ideas and then throw them away. He says this is exactly where people go wrong when trying to learn to think intelligently. The author also argues that imitation is suicide if you want to be smarter.
