The book was a killer ap, so to speak, because it allowed us to, in wilson's words, time, bind our ideas and thoughts. And you and i could have a conversation with aristotle, even to day by reading his work. So ours, yours and mine and any one listening to the show, hopefully we have different brain shapes than the person who has never been taught to read. The learning to read borrowed from the part of our brain that normally goes for facial recognition,. which, in a tribe environment, is pretty important.
