Receiving direct feedback can be challenging, as the system may prevent you from getting it easily. Customer support, sales, and customer success teams may try to shield you by offering reports instead of direct feedback. As a leader, it's difficult to stay in touch with reality and uncover issues, especially if they reflect poorly on you. To address this challenge, it is essential to speak directly with customers, interact with frontline employees, shadow them, and even take on tasks yourself to truly understand what's happening.
