There are multiple copies of the same kind of observer. They're identical except for where they are located in the universe. That's self locating uncertainty. Which one are you? And finally, for the boltsman brain, slash, eternally fluctuating universe scenario, right? A, are you sure? Are you a boltsman something else? Or are you really, really confident that youare an ordinary observer? If so, does that lead you to reject the hypothesis that there are boltman brains at all? Ok, all very good questions. All questions that require careful philosophical analysis.

The 200th episode of Mindscape! Thanks to everyone for sticking around for this long. To celebrate, a solo episode discussing a set of issues naturally arising at the intersection of philosophy and physics: how to think about probabilities and expectations in a multiverse. Here I am more about explaining the issues than offering correct answers, although I try to do a bit of that as well.
