Different Views on Exceptionalism and Cultural Export
American exceptionalism promotes the idea that American institutions and values are the best for all people universally. Contrarily, Chinese exceptionalism emphasizes that China's experiences are unique to itself, not a universal model for all. China avoids exporting their model and views their culture as inherently inaccessible to outsiders. This is demonstrated by the rarity of television shows in America featuring non-native English speakers, unlike in China where proficiency in English is celebrated.
