Messy Desks Don't Define Genius

Minimalism serves to simplify our lives and work by removing clutter, which hinders us. The association between messy desks and genius is misleading; a messy desk does not equate to a cluttered desk. Items that bring value and don't obstruct work can coexist without cluttering a workspace. Conversely, a few unused items that induce stress or distraction contribute to clutter. Furthermore, it's crucial to differentiate between correlation and causation; a messy desk seen in some geniuses is often a result of their creative process rather than a contributing factor to their genius. Additionally, the concept of genius can carry negative connotations and does not inherently correlate with being good or successful. Genius can be accompanied by personal struggles that overshadow its benefits, challenging the glorification of genius in societal narratives.
