Peptides for Vitality and Libido

There are five synthetic peptides known as melanatin 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 that mimic melanocytes stimulating hormone but differ in their ability to cross the blood brain barrier and impact mood, libido, and appetite. Melanatin 1 stimulates skin melanocytes causing tanning, while Melanatins 2, 3, 4, and 5 affect both skin melanocytes and the brain, leading to mood enhancement and decreased appetite. PT141 or Vilese, an FDA-approved drug for hypoactive sexual desire, falls into this category and can also stimulate pigmentation. Side effects of these peptides include nausea, flushing of the skin, and increased blood pressure. Individuals with melanoma should be cautious using these peptides. Chispeptin, a peptide that influences pituitary hormone production and reproduction, is a more recent discovery and plays a vital role in activating the pituitary for hormonal functions.
