Heidegger observed that technology, including traditional farm equipment and everyday objects, is a capacity standing in reserve. However, he also noted that this perspective began to extend to humans, leading to a dehumanizing view of each other as mere capacities standing in reserve, rather than as human beings with intrinsic value.
