Aristotle faces challenges in obtaining alcohol from family friends on an island, but eventually succeeds. This demonstrates his ability to navigate supply and demand issues in difficult circumstances. Later, he gains the support of both a Turkish soldier and a US vice consul, obtaining protective paperwork from each. These alliances allow him to move freely about the city and access the US Marine zone, ultimately aiding in his survival.
