The Misconception of Medications and Kidney Harm

Stop worrying about ACE inhibitors, ARBs, and diuretics harming the kidneys. They are actually protective and excellent for controlling blood pressure in people with kidney disease. They do not cause harm or increase the risk of kidney disease. They may increase creatinine levels, but this is due to better blood pressure control and reducing kidney workload. This patient should be on more medication.
