Sermon on the mount is about put it into practice
In Jesus' sermon on the Mount, he emphasizes the importance of putting his teachings into action. The Greek word 'poi, oh' is used 22 times, meaning to practice, act on, or obey. Jesus warns that it's not enough to simply listen or understand, but to go out and 'poi, oh'. To illustrate this, he tells a parable of a wise man who builds his house on a rock, and a foolish man who builds on sand. Only those who put Jesus' teachings into practice will stand strong against life's challenges.
