The Evolution of Knowledge
Human species, Homo sapiens, is among a few that possess the capacity to create explanatory knowledge, evidenced by the creation of tools like campfires. The evolution of language suggests that language use predates the adaptation of throat structures for speech. Past species capable of creating new knowledge became extinct, while Homo sapiens nearly faced extinction multiple times. Every civilization, including technological ones, has ultimately been destroyed due to lack of knowledge in areas like hygiene, agriculture, and climate change prevention. Conversely, no civilization perished due to an excess of scientific knowledge.
