The Danger of Thinking You Know It All
The left hemisphere sees less and as a result, tends to think it knows everything. This aligns with the Dunning-Kruger effect in psychology, where the less understanding people have, the more likely they are to believe they know everything. Intelligent individuals often acknowledge their limitations, while less intelligent ones tend to be more dogmatic in their views. Across different cultures, there are stories depicting a struggle between two powers, where one is more knowledgeable but the other tries to resist and even destroy it. This reluctance to accept one's own ignorance is a common theme globally. Albert Einstein once stated that if more people understood how little they know, the world would be a better place. This insight is reflected in various stories and quotes, emphasizing the danger of arrogance and the importance of humility in recognizing our limitations.
