The Divide in Colonial Societies
In colonial societies, a divide emerges between the colonized people who benefit from the colonial system and those who are excluded. Instead of uniting against colonial powers, nationalist parties often alienate rural populations, widening the gap between the urban elite and rural peasants, ultimately serving the colonial structure's interests.
