The Importance of Proper Contact Lens Care and Daily Disposables

Corneal infections from contact lenses can cause scarring and blurry vision. To avoid this, it is recommended to be attentive to the use and cleaning of contact lenses. Daily disposable lenses are safer and more convenient, despite the environmental impact of more plastic waste.

In this episode, my guest is Jeffrey Goldberg, MD, PhD, professor and chair of the department of ophthalmology at the Byers Eye Institute at Stanford University. His clinical and research efforts focus on retinal and optic nerve diseases such as glaucoma and discovering stem cell and nanotechnology treatments to cure blindness.
