Monkeypox Outbreaks and Cures
Clade 1 monkeypox outbreaks have displayed a mortality rate of up to 10%, though subsequent outbreaks have generally reported lower rates. The more prevalent clade 2, which has been the focus of recent attention, has a remarkably low fatality rate of less than 0.2%. This indicates that monkeypox is not as deadly as previously perceived. Vaccination appears unnecessary given the low mortality risk. Importantly, scientific research published in 2023 has revealed two effective treatments for monkeypox: curcumin, which is widely available as a supplement, and black pepper, specifically its active component piperine. Regular consumption of curcumin (around 1000 milligrams daily) along with appropriate doses of black pepper or piperine is suggested as a remedy against monkeypox.
