Voluntarily Surrendering to Algorithmic Control

Society is at risk of voluntarily sacrificing rights to algorithmic control in the name of convenience and security. This surrender limits individuals' perspectives by exposing them only to algorithm-selected options. Living in a digital echo chamber, people are subject to asymmetrical surveillance, where the watchers know everything about them. The algorithmic 'warden' controls access to ideas, solutions, and critical thinking, while keeping individuals constantly stimulated and distracted. This modern panopticon, facilitated by generative AI, leads to individuals choosing to be perpetually numb. This development signifies the near perfection of the panopticon as a method of social control. However, it is also acknowledged that algorithms may not entirely encompass an individual's whole reality.
