Peter Brown meets Seth Klarman

The speaker before me was Seth Clareman from Bao Post, a firm with investments in Puerto Rico. I wanted to hear his talk and at the end, someone asked him about quantitative investing. His response was that it requires creativity and finesse that a computer will never have. When it was my turn to speak, I mentioned how Kasparov once said the same about chess, but we later defeated him. Whether it's in speech recognition, machine translation, language models, chess, or investment decisions, human intelligence is nothing more than computation.
