The Importance of Openness in College

Since leaving the movement, it has become more woke and drifted from its mission. Many people, including Walden teachers, have also left because it has become too crazy. The speaker believes that the system has crushed the romantic wanderlust and idealism of young students. Their mission as a college teacher is to not only make students think but also open them up to the world. They hope to see alternative movements, like micro schools, emerge outside of the mainstream.
