Freedom Without Self Mastery Is a Disaster

Most external authority is there to keep our flesh in check. But just because there's the abuse of authoritydoe not mean that authority isn't, of itself bad. Obedience isn't when you agree. It's when you do what he says whether you agree or not. Lots of us think we obey jesus. We just agree with jesus and do what he said where we and where we disagree,.We do our own thing. Another way to say that i's under his authority. Jesus is lord means i come under the authority, not just i agree with JESUS.
