NOTE

The Preference for Text Communication and the Potential of AI Voice Interactions

Texting is preferred over voice memos because it allows for asynchronous communication. While the internet has connected us globally, time constraints still exist. However, AI technology has the potential to overcome these limitations by providing instant and intelligent responses. The current voice interfaces, like Google Voice and Siri, are not sufficient yet and involve too much friction. Once the friction is removed and AI communication becomes seamless, it will be a natural and unconscious process. However, texting still holds advantages, such as convenience and avoiding looking foolish in public. In conclusion, both voice and text communication have their place, but AI has the potential to revolutionize communication.
