Small tribes would seek alliances with others for support and protection, forming wellie. This alliance meant mutual assistance in all aspects of life, from business to war. Being wellie meant standing united in crisis, symbolizing that fighting one meant fighting both. Applying this concept, Allah is described as the wellie of believers, always supporting and guiding them from darkness towards light.
