Use a government bond interest rate to estimate the value of businesses you can reasonably foresee the future of. Avoid speculative businesses prone to industry changes where applying higher interest rates for risk assessment seems like playing with numbers, rather focus on understanding businesses well and purchasing them at a significant discount.
