The Human Element in Mathematical Discoveries
Mathematical concepts like prime numbers are not human constructs, but the stories and insights surrounding them are a very human aspect of doing mathematics. New insights in mathematics often come from human creativity and imagination, such as the concept of imaginary numbers. While mathematical entities like prime numbers may not be human constructs, the stories and discoveries about them, as well as the ways they are studied and understood, are deeply intertwined with the human element of doing mathematics.
