properties are properties of a system that are not isolated to one part. They exist as the result of interactions between the system, of all the parts together. For instance, availability is an emergent property of software. It means no part of the system is crashing and taking everything else out. Security is anEmergent property. It means we're not doing anything we're not supposed to do. Really tough one. I like a lot of decoupling in the back end. You know, we really want to decouple our code.
