The Economic Impact of Government Spending in the United States
Government spending in the United States, whether through defense contracts or make-work projects, does not necessarily generate economic value for the country. Printing money for stimulus checks or funding projects that do not produce goods and services people want do not stimulate the economy but rather lead to inflation. The key to creating economic value lies in the production of goods and services that are desired and consumed by the population.
