Effects of Omega-3 on Muscle Size and Recovery

Omega-3 supplementation has a protective effect on muscle size during recovery. In a study involving young women, those who received omega-3 supplementation showed a slower decline in muscle size compared to the control group, as measured by MRI. Additionally, the omega-3 group experienced faster muscle recovery compared to the control group. The incorporation of omega-3 fatty acids into the muscle was found to be a contributing factor to these effects.
