The biggest problem in America is that young people are not doing as well as their parents were at their age. The high costs of housing, food, and education paired with stagnant salaries have created rage and blame among generations. The solution is to increase young people's earning power and bring costs down. This can be achieved through vocational programs, expanding college seats, and fiscal policies that don't harm the poor. Additionally, legislation should be implemented to remove barriers to housing construction and universities with large endowments should be taxed. Trust-busting measures are also necessary to foster innovation and lower consumer costs. Amazon's dominance in online retail has hindered competition, but in the past, their third-party marketplace fees were much lower, allowing small retailers to thrive.
