The Social Radars

NOTE

Y combinator - spark

The Y Combinator initiative started when the founders were discussing potential changes in the VC industry and considering starting their own venture. They decided to launch their own program called Cambridge Seed, but changed the name to Y Combinator to avoid being copied. The domain YCombinator.com was available, and they decided on the name during a dinner conversation. Trevor was not part of the initial conversation as he did not return to California. The founders quickly put together the Y Combinator program and launched the Summer Founders Program, initially planned as a one-off event.
