A liberal order seeks to lower or eliminate all barriers to the free use of my body or myself. A civilization that sees the world as something for me to do with as I wish, this becomes the dominant way in which we perceive what freedom is. And indeed, all barriers and obstacles to defining who I am have to be lowered if not eliminated altogether.
