Beliefs and Influence of the Sadducees
The Sadducees were a wealthy group in Jerusalem during Jesus' time. They believed that only the Torah was sacred scripture and didn't believe in resurrection or final judgment. They thought humans live on by having children. The top people with the most wealth conveniently didn't believe in a radical change in the world.
