Changing Features of the Environment to pose questions
By analyzing data on children's physical activity in a schoolyard, it was discovered that they were not moving because they were congregating in shaded areas due to the extreme heat. Instead of imposing activities, the environment was altered by adding shade cloths and trees, resulting in increased physical activity among the children. Changing features of the environment in response to observations and posing questions back to the children led to a positive outcome.
