Is There a Majority in the House of Commons?

We live in a prime nisterial system, and the fundamental bit about that is that our prime ministers are supposed to be first amongst equals. He was suddenly trying to suggest that it didn't matter, almost, if the majority of his own m ps moved against him - he somehow had a mandate to remain. That was his argument right up until the dying minutes. I think we've, in a sense, seen glimpse of what can go wrong in our system because the system ofvee depended on these unwritten rules. It's a thousand years old, this unwritten constitution, and it required people to have a feeling for things. i mean, e saw that going wrong obve
