Hospice came first. It's an ancient idea. Really took off in modern terms in the u k and the sixties. Came to the us as a sort of non medical, largely volunteer approach to care. In the eighties, medacare got in the business and started paying for it in a novel way. And you tell me, sam, we can take any little tributaries on policy fronts or whatever else along the way here.
