Ep13 "Will you perceive the event that kills you?"

Inner Cosmos with David Eagleman

NOTE

The Two Timelines: Physical Time vs Subjective Time

Our perception is that we live in the present, but in reality, our brain processes information slowly, causing a delay. This delay is known as post-diction, where our brain incorporates information that happens after an event. Signals in the brain move at a sluggish pace compared to fiber optic cables. Therefore, the brain collects and compiles signals from our senses before presenting us with a cohesive story of what's happening. So, the moment we perceive as now has actually already passed.
