The Artist's Balance of Adventure and Hermetic Life
The artist didn't plan to live in New York but had to go to Tokyo. While away, their studio was robbed and everything was gone. This brought a feeling of relief and they decided not to return to New York. They then moved to Toronto for a while but don't move often unless necessary. The artist believes that the urge to adventure creatively is a balance for their hermetic life. Their work always seems to balance what is happening in their life. For example, when they lived in New York, where their studio was on a noisy street corner, they made the quietest music they have ever made.
