NOTE

The Birth of the Moon and Earth

The moon was formed after a dramatic moment when it emerged from the gas cloud of Earth as a newly born satellite, within a quick process of about 10 to a few tens of years. This event not only gave birth to the moon but also significantly transformed Earth, shaping it into the planet we know today. Moon rocks and Earth rocks are almost identical in geochemistry, indicating their shared origin and suggesting that both Earth and the moon were born in the same moment, making them cosmic twins.
