The Secret Attraction of Nihilism

Young people are trapped by their own rationality into either a totalitarian viewpoint or a nihilistic viewpoint. Meaning is the right counter to happiness, and responsibility is the rightCounter to rights. It's not, oh, you should be happy and do whatever you want - it's like, no, you don't get it. The flood is coming. You better be prepared. And it's not just a flood for you and family,. It may be a flood for the whole culture. And the culture needs you to get your bloody act together. But  your potential is almost in able potential for being a force that's good for yourself and for your family and for your community.
