Arnold Schwarzenegger didn't want character roles, he aspired to be like the top stars in Hollywood. When told that climbing the ladder in the industry was difficult, he decided to build his own ladder. He worked hard in bodybuilding, then dedicated five hours a day to learning English and acting. Before pursuing acting full-time, he made his first million in real estate. Despite being offered small and stereotypical roles, he refused and pursued his dream of becoming a leading man. Eventually, he landed big roles and became a successful actor, defying all the naysayers. His accent and physique became assets in Hollywood, and he proved that it's important to build your own ladder instead of waiting for others.
