The 10 Commandments Are So Familiar That We Think We Understand Them

Moses is giving his last words to the people before he dies. The 10 commands are stipulations of the covenant that God made with his people at Sinai. Some scholars would even say it sets the structure of the rest of the book. It's really the first step or the ground level of what it looks like to be covenantally faithful to Yahweh.
