Ep. 9: The Cosmos and Us
Crash Course Pods: The Universe
Reality is a Game of Iteration
Understanding reality is akin to evolving video game graphics – starting with basic representations and gradually refining them through interaction and observation. Just as early video games lacked accurate portrayals compared to modern ones, our models of reality depend on the data we collect and the limitations of our perceptions. Without an external reference point, we assess our models against internal observations, continually iterating to improve accuracy. Ultimately, we test mathematical representations against observed phenomena, selecting the one that aligns more closely with the data, yet always remaining confined by our inherent limitations in observation and experimentation.
