Perception and Reality

Our perception of the world is shaped by the stories we tell ourselves to create a consistent idea of reality. In the absence of contradicting sensory data, our mind creates its own hallucination, forming a fantasy world. At night, when darkness conceals contradictory information, our inner fantasies are not challenged, leading to fear. In the daylight, the abundance of information contradicts our ideas, revealing the constructed nature of our perception. Humans, like mice, craft a consistent idea of the world, essentially living in a self-created dream or hallucination.
