Expanding our potential is crucial to survive and flourish as a species. Encountering another species in the galaxy is a possibility, and there are natural events like solar flares or asteroid impacts that could affect us. By enhancing our potential, such as through curing diseases and colonizing Mars, we increase our chances of thriving.
